Printing menu products as normal items is useful if you sell both à la carte products and menus. By default, they are printed separately, but by enabling this option, the ticket becomes shorter and easier to read.

Example of menu ticket as normal items:

    Order: 1234
    Waiter: Peter
    Table: 5
    Diners: 2
    {Date}
    ---------------------------------
    STARTERS → Course order
    ---------------------------------
1 Goat cheese salad → À la carte product
    1 [M] Green Salad → Menu product (M)
    ---------------------------------
    MAIN COURSES
    ---------------------------------
1 Filet mignon with foie gras
        - Medium
    1 [M] Paella
    ---------------------------------
    DESSERTS
    ---------------------------------
    1 Crème Brûlée
    1 [M] Seasonal Fruit

Menu products have an [M] to identify them.

Example of ticket WITHOUT the option activated to print menus as normal items:

    Order: 1234
    Waiter: Peter
    Table: 5
    Diners: 2
    {Date}
    ---------------------------------
STARTERS → À la carte course order
    ---------------------------------
1 Goat cheese salad → À la carte product
    ---------------------------------
    MAIN COURSES
    ---------------------------------
1 Filet mignon with foie gras
        - Medium
    ---------------------------------
    DESSERTS
    ---------------------------------
    1 Crème Brûlée
    ---------------------------------
MENUS → The menu prints separately
    ---------------------------------
    1 DAILY Menu
    [STARTERS]
      1 Green Salad
    [MAIN COURSES]
      1 Paella
    [DESSERTS]
      1 Seasonal Fruit

As you can see, it is easier and quicker to read the ticket when menu and à la carte products are printed together.
